Our Story

Hospitality Runs in The Family

Venanzio Momo, founded Cucina Colore with the help of his brothers, Carlo, Raoul, and Anthony. His new Colorado concept was a continuation of a rich culinary tradition started by Teresa Azario Momo, his mother from Italy, and Raul Momo Marmonti, his father from Chile.

In 1991, after visiting Colorado, Venanzio realized an opportunity to bring the Northeast take on Italian cuisine to Colorado in the form of a pizzeria. He opened Pizzaria Colore on the CU campus in Boulder and it was an enormous success. One thing led to another, and he opened a trattoria in Cherry Creek, Cucina Colore.

He continued to create exciting dining experiences all over Denver while maintaining Cucina Colore as his flagship establishment.

While the flavors and themes vary, they all share a unique vision of quality, creativity and exceptional service. You can experience this, in the colors of our custom-designed interiors, the smell of our artisan bread, the taste of locally grown produce, the selection of carefully chosen wines (some of which carry our own label), the sounds of our music, and the care our staff provides, creating a vibrant setting for great memories with family and friends.

Cucina Colore continues to offer dining experiences with the common theme of earth, food, wine and, an enjoyment of life.

Our doors are open and we welcome you to join us.
